Amazon is laying off hundreds of employees, reports The Seattle Times. The layoffs are “headcount readjustments,” says the company. The e-commerce giant is the second-largest corporate employer in the US.
President Trump released his $4.4T budget, which includes a proposed $200B in federal spending over the next decade, intended to spur $1.5T in new infrastructure investment. It also calls for $18B to build a border wall with Mexico.
Uber will enforce breaks for drivers. It’s unveiling a feature in the US that will lock drivers out of the app for 6 hours if they’ve been working for 12 hours without a break. Uber hopes the new rule will stop drowsy driving and driver fatigue.
